From the series “De Afviste/The Rejected”, Brorson’s church 2015. The project refers to the 13th of August 2009 when a group of Iraqi asylum seekers were forced out of Brorson´s church in Copenhagen and taken away by the police, provoking demonstrations and heavy confrontations between demonstrators and the police. The group had sought refuge in the church for three months to avoid being sent back to Iraq. The series consist of sixteen collages. Four collages were made specifically for Brorson’s Church, for the exhibition “De Afviste”. One of the collages is permanently on display in the church.
