Whispering Well: Mixed Media/sound installation, ongoing project,
(I) 2004 & (II) 2008

Whispering Well is a combined sound/ sculptural project,tracing
through sound the journey of the well to spaces of very different
character and function. The well, with its in-built recording and
play-back devices, is installed in spaces; private and institutional,
in and out of doors. When close to the well one can hear its sound
of whispering voices. In each place it also records the
surrounding sound.This material is accumulated for a future sound/
sculptural work. The well is simultaneously a witness, a receiver,
a messenger of information and a story-teller.
